LAUNCHXL-F28379D: GUI Composer Designer Issue - TI Cloud Agent version

I'm working on LAUNCHXL-F28379D was trying to run a GUI generated by the GC designer but at the every beginning, it pops up a message saying a new version of cloud agent is available and refuse to run my GUI. I therefore clicked on the download button to download it again (but it was the same version as I had already installed, i.e. v0.5, file name ticloudagent__2.exe. Of course, after I reinstalled the agent I still can't connect to my board. Please can you help?

Can you answer the questions I have there?

Would it be possible to disable any antivirus/security software to see if there can be some interference?

What browser are you using?

If you can also quickly see if you can connect to your target in CCS Cloud, that would be very helpful.

Hi again:

Is there a offline (desktop) version of GC Designer? My fear is that I may have the connection problem again in the future with the cloud agent when more application software are installed. It seems to be quite flaky.

Current version of GC designer is only available on-line.

So, is there a ready made GUI that works with F2837x devices or customers have to design their own? I didn't find any in the GUI gallery. Thanks

Perhaps the C2000 team will be aware of some. I will bring this thread to their attention.

Hi Congli,

We don't currently have a GUI in the gallery using the F2837xD. Which GUI are you trying to use for F2837xD? It shouldn't be difficult to switch the device if it uses a program model component.

Hi Dalaney,

I can't use any available ones for my F28379D launchpad as they are all specific to a particular device (launchpad) and power board (BOOSTXL). Unless I can somehow edit those GUI's I would have the connection problem in the first place let alone all the variables to be instrumented.

Hi Congli,

I see, I believe you will have to make your own app then. Linked here is a guide for making a GC GUI with the F2837xD Launchpad that may be of some help.

I will let Ki comment on if the device can be changed for an existing GUI.

Yes, all the projects for the applications in the gallery can be import to your GC designer workspace and be modified to change the connection/device, executable, etc.
