TMS320F28069M: Unable to verify SVGEN_MACRO outputs in PM Sensorless project created for the TI DRV8312EVM motor control kit

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Tool/software:

Greetings

I am going through the documentation for "Sensorless FOC of PMSM" and implementing the incremental builds. I am using the project files as is, without any change. However, at BUILD LEVEL1 itself, I am unable to verify the graphs. These are to look like the output of the space-vector modulation, but I have attached a snap of what they actually look like.

Also I tried to view the same waveforms on the ADC_Vhb(1-3) nodes; I couldn't find the nodes so I just made contact with th C56 and C55 (added a snap of the board layout). I didn't get anything coherent.

The PWMs are still being generated as shown and on connecting the OUT(s) to the TelcoMotion BLDC motor phases (DRV_RESET = 0), it just vibrates very aggressively.

All these are results of the Incremental Build 1 stage. Why is there discrepancy in the T(a-c) waveforms? What is it that I am missing? Also links to any other resources which deal with motor control would be really appreciated.

Thanks and Regards
Aarav

  • Please take a look at the documentation under the folder of controlSITE about how to use the graph tool with data log.

And also please check which device are you using? Take a look at the following link if using F28069M.

  • Hello,
    Thank you for the reply.

I am unable to find the documentation for the graph tool, can you please share a link to that?

I am able to produce the correct waveforms (and even spin the motor in BUILD1) by making the changes to the RAM linkerscript, as given in your answer. I was also able to find the boot ROM memory map in the TRM.

    Thanks a lot!
