Firstly my customer was unable to secure and flash the device using DCSM using CCS version 12.7.0. I consulted several E2E threads suggesting customer upgrade to CCS12.8.1. The customer discovered that flashing was possible without enabling PSWDLOCK, but would still fail if PSWDLOCK was enabled. The details are as follows:
The customer used Sysconfig version 1.22.0 and configured the following, as shown in Figure 1: They disabled the Zone 2 configuration, encrypted all flash memory in Zone 1, and left the rest unencrypted.
They then proceeded as Figure 2, set Passwords 2 and 3, enabled Password Lock, and left all other settings as default. They then imported the file into the project and attempted to flash and encrypt it using CCS 12.8.1, but the flashing still failed. The error code was similar to the one encountered with DCSM using 12.7.0, indicating a problem with the flash state machine.
