TMS320F280049C: Programming custom TMS320F280049C board with XDS110 – mandatory pins and pin mapping

Part Number: TMS320F280049C

Tool/software:

Hi TI Team,

I am working on a custom board based on TMS320F280049C and plan to use an XDS110 for programming/debugging. Could you please clarify the following:

  1. What are the mandatory pins/signals that must be connected between XDS110 and the MCU for successful programming and debugging?

  2. What is the correct pin mapping from XDS110 (TI 14-pin header and ARM 20-pin header) to the F280049C JTAG pins?

  3. Are TRSTn and XRSn considered mandatory, or optional for minimal setups?

  4. What are the recommended pull-up/pull-down resistor values on TMS, TDI, TCK, TRSTn, and XRSn?

  5. For boot strap pins (GPIO24 and GPIO32), what is the correct default configuration for Boot to Flash?

  6. If I choose to use cJTAG (2-wire) with XDS110 instead of full JTAG, what pins are mandatory, and are there any special considerations?

Thanks in advance for your support!
