TMS320F28069M: Need to write to OTP (Boot To Flash settings)

Hi, very new to platform, struggling to get started. Have used Uniflash to delete the Demo code that loads on LaunchXL board at powerup.

I have used a TI example and modified it to suit my needs. I can run it in debug mode. (Observing to PWM outputs on a scope)

What I want is tofor the code to run on Reset/Power-up.

My understaniding is that I need to write two variables in the OTP to have this happen. I also understand that I can address the OTP and write speciific cells using CCS. The newest version of CCS has a different layout and I cannot find the 'Tools' menu, and from there the FashAPI.

thanks for your reply.

I have seen both of those links, and I'm sure if and once I digest them I'll arrive at a solution.

I was lead to believe, perhaps optimistically on my part, that if I programmed two cells in the OPT that would ensure that the device runs from Flash. From the documentation: I still have to generate a Linker Command file so that the code is stored in appropriate memory, i.e. just merely writing to two OTP cells is not going to work. Am I correct?

Again thanks for your support. It seems that when transitioning to a new platform the earliest steps, in this case storing code to Flash rather than just RAM is the most confusing and bothersome to a newcomer. Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed the SysConfig tool, but cannot workout how to run it.

One page suggests I open the .sysconfig file in my project, but no such file exists in my project. Is this because I have not used the tool to initiate the project? If so how do I go about running the tool to generate a .sysconfig file?

Hi Craig,

Unfortunately, F2806x is not supported in Sysconfig as this is a legacy device (only newer devices are supported). There is a similar thread detailing this:
