About .cmd file for F28335

Hi,

I am on a project with F28335, i don't really understand about .cmd file such as F28335.cmd, 28335_RAM_lnk.cmd, 28335_IQmath_lnk.cmd, 28335_fastRTS_lnk.cmd ....

I think it is program memory will be used. If you boot SARAM use 28335_RAM_lnk.cmd, flash: F28335.cmd.

In my project, I need a high precision, fast calculation with floating-point unit. So, I added IQmath, and

FPU fastRTS library. So I don't understand, If i want F28335 run from FLASH with these library what .cmd i must use and if i want F28335 run from SARAM with these library what .cmd i must use.

Sorry if it is a silly question.

Hi Phien,

This is the doc you need to refer for Running the program from flash:

Also, for quick computations you can run sub-routines from RAM, with the help of this doc:

Hi Gautam,

I read "Running an Application from Internal Flash Memory". I think that the .cmd file store address of BEGIN, RESET... when 28335 run. If 28335 run from FLASH or RAM only define BEGIN is start address of FLASH or RAM .pinit, .cint ... in cmd file.Is it right, Gautam ?

I used F28335.cmd. In this file constant load and run on FLASH

.econst : > FLASHA PAGE = 0

if I want it run on RAM, i delete it and replace by:

.econst:
LOAD = FLASH, PAGE = 0
RUN = RAM,
PAGE = 1
LOAD_START(_econst_loadstart),
LOAD_SIZE(_econst_loadsize),
RUN_START(_econst_runstart)

add memcpy function in source file, isn't it?

And If i run from RAM the program will be loss when i reset.

If you want to copy sections from Flash to RAM, here are the steps (esp. for F2808):

Hi Gautam,

my above rely want to ask you what i understand about cmd file and how 28335 run after i read first doc you sent me true or false.

And method to copy ONE FUNCTION from FLASH to RAM. Example: void LQR_algorithm (void):

In C file:

#pragma CODE_SECTION(LQR_algorithm, "phien");

and memcpy function.

In cmd file:

phien: LOAD = FLASHD,
RUN = RAML0,
LOAD_START(_RamfuncsLoadStart),
LOAD_END(_RamfuncsLoadEnd),
RUN_START(_RamfuncsRunStart),
PAGE = 0

is it right ?

About method you send me i've just see in the second file you sent me.
