GEL file required ?

I am trying to run my code on cpu2 on F28377D . I get the following error when I load my program into cpu2 :

C28xx_CPU2: Breakpoint Manager: Retrying with a AET breakpoint
C28xx_CPU2: Trouble Setting Breakpoint with the Action "Finish Auto Run" at 0x841c: (Error -1066 @ 0x841C) Unable to set/clear requested breakpoint. Verify that the breakpoint address is in valid memory. (Emulation package 5.1.402.0)

I have no hardware breakpoints .

Also there is no cpu2 gel file for me . Is it supposed to be there for cpu2 as well ? If so please tell me why it is not being setup .

Hi,

I guess you're using CCS v5.5 and you've not applied the patch.

Also there is no cpu2 gel file for me . Is it supposed to be there for cpu2 as well ? If so please tell me why it is not being setup .

Hi Gautam ,

I did see those links .

Yes I am using CCS v5.5 .

The patch is required only if I am using flash right ? All i am doing is giving control of i2c, adc ,dac to cpu2 . I boot the cpu2 through RAM . So would I still need the patch ?

You should not face this issue then. Still I would like you to apply the patch and revert with your observations.

Hi Anish,

You must have Gel file to make device working with CCS connection. Gel file has DCSM (security) initialization which is done on reset and without this, access to all memories (RAM as well as FLASH) are disable. Update the setup to have the CPU2 gel file and that should solve the issue.
