F28027 Problem Flash Programming

Hi Ali,

Did you try using CCS Uniflash Software. Try that out and let me know whether you're able to erase the flash or not.
Later we'll check what you;'re missing in CCS v3.3

Did CCS (or) SDFlash throw any error when the erase operation didn't work? If so, paste that error message.

The error message is not the same all the times. I have experienced these error messages
"0x20000024/-1135"
"0x00000004/-1156"
"Flash API Error#24"
"Flash API Error#1"
"Data Verification failed at address 0x88C4"

I'm so confused and have no idea about the source of problem and how to solve this.

I have the same problem with Uniflash.
I have installed Uniflash V3.1.0.00026.
I have created a new Target Configuration. from the "Create CCXML File" window, for "Connection" part I chose "Spectrum Digital C2000 XDS510LC Emulator" and for "Board Or Device" part I Chose "TMS320F28027"
when i press "Calculate Checksum" it works properly and returns "Flash Checksum : 760B" & "OTP Checksum : A26A"
But when i try to erase the flash I confront this error message "Flash operation Erase failed on core Spectrum Digital C2000 XDS510LC Emulator/C28xx" and the Uniflash goes to Halt and doesn't Respond.

I am so confused.
I'd be appreciated if you helped me

I hope your device is not locked, is it? Did you check the same with another board?

Flash API #24 seems to suggest that the device might be in depletion.

I agree with Gautam, you may have to try your luck on another device.

I changed the device but I haven't tested it yet.
Could you please explain for me the procedure of Flash programming the device with Uniflash.
By the way I should mention that I used to change and tried to program the device once before but the problem was still there. So I'm wondering if I'm making a mistake about something.
I'd be appreciated if you helped me with this :)

All you need to do is build this example project using CCS:

C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f2802x\v129\DSP2802x_examples_ccsv4\flash_f28027

Go to your workspace -> project folder -> debug folder -> copy the .out file

In CCS Uniflash, create a new target config then Program -> Load Program (call the .out file here)

Ali, first of all please switch over to CCS v6. I don't know why are you still with CCS v3.3 that too for F28027. You can import CCS v4 projects to CCS v6.

As you told me, I installed CCS v6 on my PC, but the problem still remains. And there is something I should mention:
When I load a simple program like the blinking LED on the RAM and I run it, it works properly, but when I try to halt it during the running operation of the program, I confront the error "0x00000024/-1156" and consequently I can't connect to the target device again unless I reset it.
I use the debugger "XDS510LC" from "Spectrum Digital"

By Halt you mean suspend || button?? Also, can you paste the screenshot of the error window?

My problem with flash program is solved. the reason was a hardware problem. It was a very tiny short circuit between the pins 47 and 48 which caused the problem and another reason was the noise supplied from the switching supply.
About your question, Yes for the halt key I use the || button.
About the screenshot. In our constitution the Internet computers are seperated from the working computers and we can not transfer the files from our computers to the Internet systems. But I can tell you about the error fault. It's sometimes"0x00000202/-1135" and sometimes it is "0x80000202/-1135".
Do you have any ideas?
