Migrate from F2803x to F2802x, HVBLDC_Sensored

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8305-Q1EVM

Hello,

The sensored BLDC application in control suite does not use CLA and I believe the resources on F28027 is enough to run it up.  There is no  motor drivers  for F2802x in control suite, may I just use the F2803x drivers  as is?  Is there any reference in place to guide how to convert the F2803x application to F2802x?

Thanks!

  • Hi Harvey,

Converting from F2803x to F2802x is not a tough task. You can migrate with ease as the register set is similar. Compare the datasheets and configure accordingly. Secondly, check for the peripherals used in F28035... F28027 must have the same to provide the same functionality. Also, F28027 does not have a CLA... hence if there are any CLA tasks in F28035 project they have to be incorporated in the main CPU itself with disturbing the functionality.

  • Hello,

I am new to CCS environment. I am using DRV8305-Q1EVM and I would also like to migrate the HVBLDC_Sensored code from F2803x to F2802x. Can you please help me this. I don't have much experience working with TMS320F280xx. Could you please help me with what changes I need to make to run the HVBLDC_Sensored project on DRV8305-QEVM.
