SCI responding too quickly

Using a F28069. 19200 baud. 8 data bits. 1 stop bit. Using as RS-422 and RS-485. We get a message from our host application. The device responds. The host is using a Serial to USB adapter. The host application is seeing an extra NULL character at the beginning of the response. We think that our response from the device is too fast. Any ideas?

  • Hi Charles,

Is this consistent for every response to a message? Or just the first response to the first message?

Have you seen the NULL character on the TX pin of the F28069 using an oscilloscope?

    Best Regards,
