LAUNCHXL - F28027 Phase Shift between ePWM1 and ePWM2 with Simulink

Hello everybody.

I am using LaunchXL - F28027 Eval. board to generate 4 PWM signals for my DAB DC-DC converter. I want to change phase shift between ePWM1 and ePWM2 module to control power flow in converter. Question is: on picture below the Phase offset value is used to control the phase shift in clock cycles? Or is there anything else to control my phase shift? Configuration from my picture is that I am using right now.

Best regards,

Michael.

  • Michael,

The boxed field in your post specifies the phase offset of PWM1 with respect to an incoming sync pulse. This should be 0.

If you want to impart a phase offset on PMW2 relative to PWM1 you need the equivalent field in the configuration window for PWM2. Enter the phase offset in TBCLK cycles there. You also need to specify in the PWM2 Phase Offset Source field that you're using SYNCIN for synchronization.

Take a look at the diagram on page 97 of the PWM guide for this device (spruge9e). I think this will make it clearer:
