INDUCTION MOTOR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, TMS320F28035

I want to control a induction motor without speed sensor  with FOC .But when the speed is  zero, the motor will be Intermittent rotation.can you help me?

       Thanks.

  • Hi user4590156,

Your post is being moved to the InstaSpin forum for better support.

While waiting for a response, please see e2e.ti.com/.../296569

Also, can you provide some additional information?
    What system are you using?
    What is the motor specification?
  • Are you using our InstaSPIN software + hardware development kits to run your ACIM? Please provide more details as Rick requested as well

  • Hello,Sean

I use the hardware development kits to run my ACIM,but the software is changed by  the project HVACI_Sensorless in the controlsuite. The controlcard is TMS320F28035.The  Program is running in the CCS at RAM.

I  use the U-I model  to get the Rotor flux, the I-n model to get the Rotor speed. The electric machine parameter such as  Rs、Rr、Lm、Ls、Lr  are obtaining by  Software measurement ,at the same time, the Measuring code is writing by myself.

Now,the motor is running well when the motor speed is lagrer than 100rad/min,when the speed runs at 20rad/min,the motor would stop In the process of operation. The ill-conditioned would be happened when the speed is zero,at this time the motor would be Interval movement and the  torque of motor too small.

         Do you understand me?

         Thank you very much.

  • You can try to use different speed and current PI parameters, and change the rated flux current (Id_ref) also for low speed. Generally, it's very difficult to run motor well with low speed (<0.5Hz, 30rpm) and high loading for sensorless FOC.
