TMS320F28027: Maximum achievable switching frequency with TMS320F28027

Hi,

I have a question regarding the maximum switching frequency which can be achieved with HRPWM in TMS320F28027.

In the attached documentation on HRPWM, on page 17, it is written that for Sysclockout =60MHz, max. switching frequency = 3MHz.

But, as per my understanding, the maximum System clock frequency which we can achieve with TMS320F28027 is 60MHz, so why are system frequency 70MHz-100MHz mentioned in this document? Can we increase the System clock frequency above the maximum limit specified for the device?

Is there a possibility that we can achieve maximum switching frequency =5mHz with TMS320F28027?

    06/09/2017 Edited to remove misinformation, F2803x is also limited to 60 MHz. This table will be updated in the documentation.

    you are looking at a document for F2802x and F2803x, the F2803x parts are capable of higher speed. TMS320F28027's maximum system frequency is 60 MHz, so according to the table it supports up to 2.5MHz.

    Just to close this fully I will try to verify the number in the table for you.
