DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT: InstaSpin FOC motor development kit for medium/high current

Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28027F, DRV8301, BOOSTXL-DRV8301, BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM,

Hey guys,

Can I use either  TMDSCNCD28027F or TMDSCNCD28069MISO controller on DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT to have the InstaSpin FOC?

  • Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT

    Hi All,

Can I used either DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT Or DRV8301-69M-KIT below 18V? I need to develop for 4cell Lipo that means I will have 14.8V Vin in practice.

  • the DRV8301 EVM has a 6V lower limit, so yes it will work for your voltages

it's not the best suited to the voltage range though...if your motor is lower current I'd look at the BOOSTXL-DRV8301 24V/10A or BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM 45/15A
  • Thanks Chris.
I am going to use the development kit DRV8301-69M-KIT which appear to be at 18V-60V input voltage range. Not sure where that 18V comes from but I can see the DRV8301 works with 6V.

Can't use the two other boards as I need to design the application for a 500W motor with 14.8Vdc input. So the current will be around 35A.

    Thanks
