Dear C2000 expert,
I've used F28035 to build interleaved and single pfc, it works good but the performance is not very good.
Is there any docs or tips on guiding me to improve PFC performance? Such as, how to decrease iTHD and improve PF value.
Thanks..
For good PF and THD, your signal sensing(rectified voltage, inductor current) has to be clean. So use appropriate low pass filters. Then you have to verify that your current loop reference signal looks good (good rectified sinewave since you control the inductor current which has the same waveshape). After that you have to verify the current loop Bode plot (loop gain and bandwidth) has enough gain-bandwidth. For good PF and THD your gain between 100Hz to about 2kHz should be about 20dB or higher. Please see TI ILPFC reference design and the User-guide for more on this
Hi Sudharsanan,
Thanks for your reply. This doc mentioned about the THD and PF value, but it's not described how to improve PFC performance detailed.
PFC current loop transfer function is the small signal gain characteristics7506.Dual_PFC_Transaction_PEL.pdf iL/d, where iL is the small signal change in inductor current and d is the small signal change in PWM duty ratio. Attached is a paper related to this topic.
