[2833x] problems with the adc

hi i'm working with  the starter kit  ezdsp F28335   and I have downloaded some examples from texas in which the ADC is being used, however the register of the adc, ADCRESULTn, is always cero unless i increase the input to 2,6V  then it read something but the value is wrong, any ideas of what is going on?  is there any hardware  that i have to do besides of  putting the input in the adc channel? ,also is there any way to extract the results from the ADC and send them to a text file?....the example that i'm using is adc_seq_ovd_test

Thanks
