Hi,
I have some doubts regarding low speed high torque startup of PMSM. We are using Turnigy SK3 5055 280Kv(rated at 60A) in our application based on a custom board(F28069M).
We have been successfully able to run a torque controller(with force angle enabled) using INSTASPIN FOC at moderate torques(20-30% rated), but the motors misses some rotations when a high torque is applied and you hear the unpleasant noise. Our current sensors can measure a maximum of only +-30A.
1)Will it possibly help us if we go to a +-50A sensor to go to high torques or are we missing some parameters?(Since we are able to run torque control smoothly at less loads and problem comes only at high loads,
I believe the problem is only with the iq current. Please correct me if I am wrong)
2) Will the motor be able to support more torque if we increase or decrease the force angle frequency(that is defined in user.h)?
3) When the motor starts with force angle what are the id_ref and iq_ref values that are applied to the current controllers. I could not locate these in the code.
Thank You
