TMS320F28377D: internal reference of of DAC and CMPSS

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

In datasheet of F28377d, SPRS880J Table 5-55, 

CMPSS DAC output range test condition: internal reference and external reference. It seems that F28377d doesn't have internal reference. It can either be VDAC or VREFHI, both are external.

What's internal reference here?

In page 119, The buffered DAC module consists of an internal reference DAC and an analog output buffer that is capable of driving an external load.

    Internal reference here means VDDA.

    This just means that the buffered DAC consists of a DAC and a buffer. I agree, the reference does make it confusing. We will remove that.

    So you mean for CMPSS, the DAC's internal reference is VDDA, and external reference could be either VDAC or VREFHI?

    Yes and no. Reference options for the CMPSS DAC are only VDDA (internal) and VDAC (external). VREFHI not an option.
