CCS/TMS320F28379D: HRPWM, The MEP's setting

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi ,

I use HRPWM. My project works but i don't use the function SFO (for calculate MEP).

I have a question about this. I would avoid to use the function SFO. Can I use less MEP and not use SFo function every 5 second.

Exemple :

My program have a MEP about 59. so :

MEP = 59

CLKPWM = 500kHz

so i have a resolution of  11800 aproximaly

If I use a MEP = 10 and don't execute the  SFO. The HRPWM will always have a resolution about 2000 and i can garanted this?

Other question,  have you got documents about the variation of temperature between -40°C and 90°C ?

Thank in advance

Best regards

JJ

  • Hi JJ,

    MEP has to be obtained by SFO. Using a smaller value is not an option.
    Temperature is just one of the factors that effect MEP variation.
    So, not running SFO is not an option if you are using HRPWM.
