TMS320F28374S: Solution for code update while the FLASH API is executed at FLASH at user bootloader and User App can't update User bootloader

Hi Team,

My customer used FLASH API in user bootloader for user application code updating, but the previous FLASH APIs were executed in the FLASH. The code blocked while execute the Fapi_setActiveFlashBank(), and for their configuration, F28374s would waited at the bootloader and can’t jump to user application, so the user application code can’t be executed even powered on again even the user application is still existed,

Could you give suggestions for how to update the user application code with currently user bootloader which FLASH APIs executed at FLASH?

Benjamin,

Looking at the flow chart, I understand that the boot loader is failing to reach the application due to incorrect coding (executing Flash API from Flash) in boot loader. I need to discuss this with our boot expert and get back to you on Wednesday.

I wonder why the boot loader is designed to initialize the API with out determining whether an update is required or not.

Looks like the only way to get to the user application is to use JTAG in this case.
