TMS320F28379D: Issues in the external mode while using c2000 with matlab

Don't worry this type of error possible to come. One thing you check before this error .out file successfully generate or not. If yes don't worry.
The next step is to load that .out file through CCS to your target board and click the Resume bottom on tool bar.

I am using matlab for this so how should I proceed?

18. Open Code Composer Studio (CCS).
19. On Toolbar =>view =>click Target Configurations
20. On Target Configurations window right click over „User Defined‟ and select „New Target Configuration‟ =>give File name „F28379D‟ => click Finish bottom
21. On F28379D.ccxml window,
 Connection = Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe
 select Board or Device = TMS320F28379D
 click Save Configurations
22. Connect your board F28379D to PC or Laptop.
23. On Target configurations window, right click over F28379D.ccxml =>select „Launch selected configurations‟.
24. On toolbar Run =>click Connect Target
25. On toolbar Run =>Load =>Load Program =>browse the “.out” file that you had created on Simulink => click OK bottom.
wait few second………to load program inside microcontroller processor
26. Once complete the above step go to Toolbar =>Run =>click Resume bottom
27. After few second………click Terminate bottom, Toolbar => Run => Terminate
Now check the result wrt to pin that you have enable.
