TMS320F28069F: Could GUI composer support my custom F28069F board ?

Part Number: TMS320F28069F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INSTASPINUNIVERSALGUI

Dear TI members,

I'd like to use GUI composer with our custom ACI motor driver board of F28069F.

GUI composer seems to support only XDS100v2 JTAG interface

If I use XDS100v2 compatible JTAG,  GUI composer could work with our custom board ?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Hae Ryong

  • Hae,

The GUI Composer Cloud does support all debug probes. and you can use it with any board you like, so long as the proper JTAG connection is available.

Please share a screen capture of the GUI composer showing only XDS100v2 Support

Here is the "create a new project" for me showing the full list of available debug probes:

  • Dear Mark

I'm sorry that I made some confusion.

what I mean GUI composer is instaspinuniversalgui_v105 tools which is described at chapter 2,.1 of InstaSpin user guide(spruhj1g.pdf)

I didn't know that GUI composer is a name for common tool to make GUI application.

I think instaspinuniversalgui_v105 was implemented by GUI composer.

I've got instaspinuniversalgui at following url

    http://www.ti.com/tool/INSTASPINUNIVERSALGUI

running screen capture is as follows

My actual question is that this instaspinuniveralgui could support our custom motor driver board, If I used XDS100v2.

or it support TI development kits only ?

please make me clear about it.

    Best Regards,

    Hae Ryong

  • I would think as long as you were using an XDS100v2 with your custom board it would still be able to connect and load the program? Are you using an XDS100v2?

    Whitney
  • I don't have XDS100v2.
I'm wondering Instaspinuniversalgui tool is for your reference kit only.
when I got confirmation that I can use instaspinuniversalgui with my custom board, then I will buy XDS100v2 for it

    Best Regards,
    Hae Ryong
  • I see. Yes, as long as you're using an XDS100v2, you can connect your custom board.
