TMS320F28377S: CLA debugging

Hi,

I was trying to debug the cla example 'cla_asin_cpu01' by following the instruction to debug the CLA. But i am not able to reach the break point in the .cla file as mentioned debug stop intrinsic. I am getting an error like given below. Any idea?

CPU1_CLA1: Can't Run Target CPU: (Error -2060 @ 0x0) Requested operation cannot be done while device is running. Halt the device, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 8.0.27.9)

Did you connect the CLA before running the example?

Yes. I followed the steps as mentioned in 'http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Control_Law_Accelerator_(C2000_CLA)_Debug_on_CCS_FAQ' . Also i had a video reference . 'https://training.ti.com/cla-hands-workshop-part-4-debugging-cla'

Alternatively i tried it in my own program (program linked to flash), in that case also i am facing same issue, but with one more extra problem - When i tried to load the symbol to CLA, it seems it is not getting added and showing like 'no symbols are defined'. I am using code composer studio 8.2.0

Hi,

You should add symbols, not load symbols to the CLA. This might help that problem.

Please look at address 0x1440 from the C28x perspective. Is bit 1 set? If it is not set, then please set it using the memory browser from the C28x. Write 0x0002 to address 0x1440.
