CCS/TMS320F28069: Sci_echoback example

Part Number: TMS320F28069

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am trying to test sci_echoback example.

I have connected gpio_28 and gpio_29 of TMS320f28069 with SCI tx/rx of USB mini module

I am using this USB mini module - https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/ftdi/FT2232H%2520MINI%2520MODULE/768-1030-ND/2027252&?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI--DOyeX_4QIVKLCzCh1HgQkcEAQYASABEgJvxvD_BwE

I have connected sci-tx of usb mini module to sci-rx of F28069 and sci-rx of usb mini module to sci-tx of F28069

I try running sci_echoback example but cant see any output in Terminal window.

Is connection setup okay?

  • Ayushi,

Could you let me know if you are connecting to an F28069 LaunchPad or controlCARD (with Dock Station)? Is the sci-echoback example working with just the TI target board (i.e. without the mini module)? This should be your first test. Then once you have this working you could then test your mini module. Try to get the mini module working independently of the F28069. When each works separately you can then try them together. You need to be aware that a transceiver may be needed. Also you will wan to check if your mini module will be USB Bus-powered or USB Self-powered.

I hope this helps. If this answers your question, please click the green "Verified Answer" button. Thanks.
