I am generating a pulse using e-PWM. I want to use this pulse for sampling logic like , i would sense only when this pulse is low. But the problem is i don't have any extra GPDI to sense it. So, my question is can i sense it internally. Or can i any way use its zero and period value for logic implementation.

Hi,

What sampling logic are you referring to?
If it's sampling of ADC inputs, Yes, you can use Zero and Period events to trigger sampling and conversion in ADC internally. You do not need any GPIO in this case.

Sorry for late reply.

I am not talking about ADC sampling that i am doing using ADC Trigger and am able to read it at ZERO and PRD value.

Its sampling of ORD pins data from digital to resolver (PGA411 EVM) using INHB pin. Please refer to the forum talk https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/815155. So for synchronous sampling i want to sample it using INHB pin at 10/20 KHz

Hi,

Since you are generating the PWM - you already would know when the PWM is low.
You would have very likely used some event inside PWM (Compare match, Period/Zero etc.) to set the PWM low.
So, you can take an interrupt on the same event that sets PWM output low and read the ORD pins data.

I read about the E-PWM interrupt , but i have not tried it yet. I'll try and let you know.

DEEPAK,

I concur with Subrahmanya, setup an interrupt to be triggered off of the CMPx event that sends the PWM output low/high. Then in that interrupt you can read the desired pins.
