We are also planning to use 280049 with encode for serve drive application. But it is not clear one to migrate from old 28377 example to new 280049.

One of the previous post suggest the position manager mentioned Position Manager library and some example will be available in 3Q19. I am wondering if that is still on track? any update on this? Thanks a lot

    As mentioned in the previous post - CLB tool is now available in latest C2000Ware release.

    CLB Configuration tool and examples are provided in the latest C2000ware release.
    Please download from http://www.ti.com/tool/C2000WARE
    Refer to documentation under http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruir8/spruir8.pdf 
    and examples under C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_2_00_00_03\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\clb

    Thanks, I downloaded the newest C2000ware and looked into the examples. It seems the examples shows how to configure CLB, but they are not related to position manager. I understand there is no release plan for position manager libraries. Will an example of how to configure CLB to read various encoder to be released later? If not, how can we migrate code from 28377 to 280047? The position manage library and example are really convenient.

    Hi,

    That's correct - as I mentioned in the previous thread, the C2000Ware release comprises of CLB tool and configuration of the tool for generic examples.
    We do plan to release position encoder interface examples - but no dates have been set for the same.
    Currently, we are in the process of developing t-format encoder interface example - this will be part of the upcoming MotorControlSDK release by end of Nov 2019. This example will be similar to the existing library - but based on the CLB tool and include complete source code for the library.
    Others (Biss-C and EnDat22) would follow but no dates have been set for those at this time.
