COMPENSATION_DESIGNER: Calculation of loop Z0 by Compensation Designer

Part Number: COMPENSATION_DESIGNER

Hi team:

I use compensation designer provided by Ti to calculate loop parameters. I use 3p3z. It is found that the x-axis display of the interface can only reach about 20K. Can the interface display higher bandwidth?

As for the selection of Z0, only the positions of Z1 and Z2 are considered in other loop calculations, but no Z0. How is the calculation of TI loop Z0 considered?

  • Your sampling frequency (i see that in your selection on the GUI) is 50kHz. That means your Bode plot is valid only upto 25kHz. So the GUI does not show beyond 20khz. If you make sampling freq to 100kHz then you can see upto about 50kHz Bode plot.

You have to select the values of all zeros (Z0, Z1, Z2), the poles (fp0, fp1, fp2) and gain. Then all these values are taken into account to calculate the coefficients Bn, An

  • Dear Shamim:

    Thank you for your reply.

would you explain more about why 50kHz of sampling frequency will make the Bode plot only upto 25kHz?

Where is the Plant curve of the main power set? What is the OL curve?

    Thanks again
