TMS320F28335: eQEP block in SIMULINK

I am working on the speed control of the induction motor. I am using a Quadrature encoder having two inputs QEPA and QEPB and having a resolution of 48ppr. code is generated through an embedded coder in MATLAB/SIMULINK. But I can't able to measure the speed properly. I have gone through the many articles, every article mentioned about the encoder having three inputs QEPA, QEPB, and Index pulse. Can anyone suggest me how to calculate the speed of induction motor having two inputs from the encoder

The incremental encoder can be three types,

single channel --> count the rising / falling edge --> direction info is not available

two channel -> count the rising/ falling edges of both channels --> direction info can be extracted from the phase angles of these two

three channel --> this is an index pulse to indicate completion of one full rotation, which is helpful in noisy ambience that helps to restart a counter from a known value for every rotation.

Our examples are based off 3 channels, suggest to review the TRM to tweak it to work off two. If you used MATLAB/ SIMULINK examples, suggest to reach out to mathworks tech support. Thanks.

I am using quadrature encoder having two channels as output QEP-A and QEP-B. so thats why I'm facing an issue
