TMS320F28379D: building a QEP function on GPIO (using CLB)

Dear team,

we are using 3x eQEP quadrature encoder modules with F28377DPTPT, but would need 4x of those in our application.

All TI C2000 MCUs have max 3x eQEP units, but I believe the CLB feature (F28379DPTPT) could possibly be used to build an additional QEP function on a GPIO.

Can you please verify if this is possible, and if so, provide any guidelines, examples?
