TMS320F280049C: Why VREGENZ floating caused the code in FLASH can't run

Hi Team,

  My customer now is using F280049C for a new project development,  and VREGENZ PIN is in floating status by accident, and reported below 2 strange things that the code can't run,  could you kindly give comments for the reason?

  Case 1: Connect the F280049 with JTAG, and download the code and run without powered off,  the code run well,  but powered off and re-powered on with JTAG,  the code couldn't run well;

  Case 2: Using external LDO to powered on VDD(1.2V),  using JTAG to download and run without powered off,  the code couldn't run;

    Hi Benjamin,

    Can you please clarify few questions:

    1. Under both the cases was VREGENZ left floating?

    2. In Case-1 was Internal Vreg being used and Case-2 external LDO to supply 3.3V and 1.2V?

    3. In Case-1 was the code downloaded successfully?

    4. Are you getting any Flash ECC error when code does not run successfully? Or any other kind of errors like NMI.. etc?

    5. If you connect VREGENZ properly, i.e. to VSS if using Internal VREG or connect VREGENZ to 3.3V if using External supply, and re-download the code and run it, does it run properly?
