Greetings! I do not fully understand if the Digital compare submodul of the ePWM module has something in common with the CMPSS. Is it possible the output of the CMPSS to be used as a trip zone sygnal of the ePWM? How should I reroute this sygnal? Why there are only 4 DC sources in the DC module? I want to use atleast 5 CMPSS outputs as a trip zone sygnals. I don`t fine example of such usage of the CMPSS.
Thanks!
Hi Pavlin,
The digital compare module is the de-facto way to interface the CMPSS to the EPWM which then activates the trip zone module. The digital compare module gets the CMPSS outputs from the epwmxbar of which there are 8 of them not 4. If you want to trip the EPWM from 5 comparators, you can do this by routing the output of those comparators through the Trip Combinational Input.
You can still go directly to the trip zone module if you choose by outputting the CMPSS to the outputxbar and using the inputxbar to tap those signals into the trip zone module TZ1 to TZ3.
