TMS320F28377S: Interrupt nesting and customized priority

Part Number: TMS320F28377S

Hi.

I've learned that I can customize the IRQ priority for HWI's (using SYS/BIOS) by setting the right mask ("Nested interrupt disable mask") in XGCONF tool. But that is only valid for on PIE group.

How can I change the priorities of the subIRQs in one goup with this tool?

In my application I have 3 ePWM HWIs. ePWM2 ISR shall be the highest prio and therefore not interruptable by any other IRQ. ePWM7 ISR shall be only interruptable by ePWM2 ISR. And ePWM8 ISR shall only be interruptable by ePWM2 and ePWM7 ISR.

Thanks

  • Hi Christian,

The XGCONF tool allows configuration of Hwi masking for nesting at the top (global) priority level via the IER register. To change nesting behavior within a PIE group you’ll need to do explicit masking within your ISR code via the PIEIERx registers - as is described in that previous forum thread and in the referenced wiki page.
