TMS320F2802: Writing .m00 and .m01 files (romwidth=8) by C2000-GANG

Hi,

I understand that C2000-GANG accepts .m00 file generated by “hex2000.exe –m3 –romwidth=16” command.

Is it possible for C2000-GANG to write .m00 and .m01 files generated by “hex2000.exe –m3” command?

My customer has been writing .m00 and .m01 files to C2000 for mass-production, and does not want to change the file format to avoid any risk.

Taro,

I don't think GANG will program these files correctly on C28x.

It is not a good practice to use two files for production when not needed.

I don't see any risk in moving to single file to program now -> customer can simply run a checksum test with both methods and compare to make sure they match. Once this experiment succeeds, they can go with the regular single file approach.
