TMS320F28075: Is there any hardware support for the output enable synchronized to period or zero match?

Part Number: TMS320F28075

Hello,

My application is 3-phase AC motor drive with ePWM.

As described in the title, I would like the pwm output to be enabled on period or zero match because I want the duty to be controlled from the beginning.

There is nothing I can find in the technical reference manual for the purpose.

I can use period or zero event in Action Qualifier, but is there more simple method?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

The action qualifier decides which events are converted into various action types, meaning if your output will be "set" or "cleared" on events such as zero, period, or compare match, as you stated.

You can choose to configure your output to set on a period or zero match using the action qualifier submodule.

Once TBCLKSYNC is set then TBCTR will start counting and the events you have configured will take effect.

Using the action qualifier submodule is the simplest way to configure your output based on a period or zero match.

    Best Regards,

    Marlyn
