TMS320F28388D: how to use PHY management interface

The 28388x device integrates an EtherCAT slave controller inside. The TRM mentioned it is possible to make use of the MII management interface as shown below.

The question is how to use the MII management interface to access the PHY registers?

Hi,

Is your question related to the MII Hardware/signal connections from the F2838x ESC to the PHYs? Or related to the software portion?

The SW handling for accessing the PHY registers would largely be handled by the EtherCAT Slave Stack running on one of the F2838x Cores.

My question is forcus on the software operation. I have to modify some PHY regsiters to meet the EtherCAT requirments because the default value of the PHY registers are not correct.
