Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28388D,
Hi,
I would to know if I can interface TMS320F377S to Encoder with SSI Interface. The Interface can communicate 32 bits with a frequency from 100kHz to 2 MHz.
Thanks,
F.

Hi,
thank you for your answer, TMS320f28388dD has only 1 SSI Interface (Is it correct?). I need to interface with two 32 bit encoders: is there another device, more suitable?
I would to know if I can use TMS320f28377s because I have re-usable code to apply.
Thank you
F.
Hi,
Please note that for an SSI encoder, you need not use an ARM-based SSI peripheral. These SSI encoders really just require a serial interface which is synchronous. For example, the C2000's SPI could be valid - and I know at least 1 or 2 instances where this has been done successfully. So it is possible this could be implemented on your F28377S.
I would however, recommend that you compare your SSI encoder to the SPI TRM specifications. One specific concern that had been mentioned in a prior thread may be Tm:
