MSP430FR2111: Programming VQFN-24 (RLL) and soldering - desoldering

Part Number: MSP430FR2111
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

I've about JTAG connector and pins, and also about BSL in the "MSP430 Hardware Tools". I understand that I should design a PCB for my project so that it has a JTAG connector or BSL connector to program the MCU. When it's ready I'd connect to BSL and with MSP-FET, program an MCU, test it and cut out BSL part of my PCB. But in my case even BSL will make PCB design complicated.

I'm thinking of making a separate PCB for programming. So I could solder the chip, program it and then unsolder it and use it on the application PCB. Has anyone done this before? I've never re-solder VQFN, so I wonder if that's even possible and doable.

Thank you,
Alex
