MSP430F5529: I cannot set PWM.

Hi,

I am trying to control DRV8320S motor driver board with MSP430F5529L development board, but I could not set the PWM signal I wanted. (The default setting in 25khz application).
I want to generate a 25Khz signal, how can I do that?
I am using the code below.

SMCLK set to 4 Mhz.

The simplest way to generate PWM is with Up mode, rather than Continuous mode.

A good start might be one of the PWM examples here:

One thing these examples don't really show is how to change the duty cycle once the PWM is running. For that you should use Timer_A_setCompareValue()

Thanks for the example but my problem is I can't change the PWM Hz how can I set it to 25Khz.
Can you send me the code that provides this setting for me?

Example ex1 uses the name TIMER_PERIOD, which is in timer ticks; with CLOCKSOURCE_DIVIDER_1 this is the same as SMCLK ticks. So set TIMER_PERIOD to (4MHz / 25kHz)-1 = 159

[Edit: DUTY_CYCLE (also in timer ticks) has to be less than TIMER_PERIOD. To get 50%, e.g. use 160/2=80.]

Thank you. It was true from the beginning, but it doesn't work since there are two timers using the same Timer as the PWM Timer in the example.
