MSP430F5326: log10 + code composer + GNU V9.3.1.11

Hello,

I am trying to compile a code with the renesas ZMOD4410 for a msp430f5326 target. According to Renesas, they used the mspgcc compiler to buid their library so I installed mspgcc GNU V9.3.1.11 and choose this compiler inside Code composer studio.

I have now the error: undefined reference to `log10'

Do you have advices about library to use to have this function?

"-lm" being the usual way to tell gcc to look at libm.

I use libm too:

yes I included <math.h>

libm isn't a runtime support library.

Check the GNU Linker options

I'm not sure why CCS 10.3 shows libm.a as a possible "Runtime support library", I haven't checked how CCS populates the list on the CCS General -> Project type and tool-chain -> Runtime support library project options.

To link libm in your project

1. Change the "Runtime support library" back to <automatic>

2. Under CCS Build -> GNU Linker -> Libraries add m in the "Libraries (-l, --library)" list:

Can you clarify if either:

The linker is still reporting "undefined reference to `log10'"
Or if the linker is reporting a different error

With a simple test program using mspgcc GNU V9.3.1.11 calling log10, adding the m library as above allowed the program to link without error.
