MSP430FR5989: TSM Settings wrong doesn't detect LC sensor?

Part Number: MSP430FR5989
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR6989,

Dear TI Team,

This issue is specially related with this other ticket in which I ask that FLOW ESI GUI doesn't set the correct register to CH1 of LC sensor. I will explain the problem in time line:

1. Validation of EVM MSP430FR6989.

2. Desing of custom PCB with MSP430FR5989.

3. There were a bug on the design and the microstrip line of LC sensor were connected to other pin instead of the correct one, so we had to add some cables to link it to the correct ones, and worked fine.

3. Customer needed to be resistant to magnets. With the LC combination that TI proposes it didn't work, so we changed the values to others that apparently does't affect the magnet (177uH, 100pF). However, there were sometimes that the ESI didn't recognized the LC sensor, so we had to reset the system until ESI detects LC sensor (specially in some positions). We thought that it was because of the cables and that with microstrip lines it would work fine.

4. Now we have made another custom PCB with the correct microstrip lines and happens the same (even more), so days ago I found the issue of the link I provide above, and I think that is because of that.

Can someone agree this?

Best regards

Samuel
