MSP430F6775A: Support in EMDC for MSP430F6775A

Hello, I have installed EMDC software on my windows PC and i am trying to configure the same for making use of MSP430F6775A . I do not want to use MSP430F6779 , since the same is more costly and my application reallly does not the extra RAM and flast that F6779 part offers. 

However in the dropdown accessible once i click on the MSP430 controlller in the EMDC GUI , i do not see any option to select F6775A part . So my question is that does the EMDC GUI does not support F6775A part ? even though F6775A is basically the same family as the F6779 only the Flash and RAM sizes are different and maybe availability of AES block too. 

Aso wanted to know that EMDC presently only supports Sigma Delta ADC based device only or can it support SAR ADC based metering ICs as well ?

    Hi Jitender,

    I believe you are correct about the F6775A, since it is essentially a smaller memory variant of the F6779.  Let me confirm first that code generated for the F6779 will run correctly on an F6775A. 

    Regarding the SAR support in the EMDC, it currently only supports devices with Sigma Delta ADCs.  I don't believe there is roadmap to include SAR based devices, but I will double-check on this too.
