MSP430FR4133: Serial Reading(RX) issue while wake-up from low power

Hi All,

our sensor push the serial data to the controller, i need to read that serial data. When i am giving continuous power from port i am able to read the data.

My requirement is read data for every one min. i am going to low power and wake up at every minute and giving power to sensor through port. this time i am unable to read the serial data

Please suggest any method.

Hi Vinod,

It could be that you are not providing enough time for your sensor to start up after providing power from the port. Look into your sensor datasheet to see if there is a typical start up time and provide some delay before reading the data.

Thanks for your mail.

Sensor giving data after 150ms. i tried even put delay 5sec. unfortunately i didn't read the data through serial.

When i wake up from low power, I am doing below steps,

UART initialization,

Sensor Power On

Dealy 5sec

Read the serial.

Pls suggest my approach is correct.

Vinod,

That looks correct. Have you been able to put a scope or logic analyzer on the line to see where the communication breaks or if it even starts?
