MSP430FR2311: MCU with 5V supply

Hi,

Good day.

Our customer is looking for a controller IC that use the same coding syntax as MSP430FR2311, but can have a supply voltage of 5V or more. Do we have an MCU that fits in this requirement? Thank you.

There are some devices from 5xx flash family (like MSP430F5172 for example) that have dedicated port IO supply that can go up to 5V (while device VCC is 3.3V or less). AFAIK, there is no FR device with this option.

Hi Cedrick,

zrno soli is exactly right. We do not offer MSP devices that can be powered by 5V. The F51x1 and F51x2 devices are unique and feature up to twelve 5V-tolerant IOs. If you'd like to use 5V signals with one of our other devices that does not support 5V inputs, consider implementing something similar to what's described in the Interfacing the 3-V MSP430 MCUs to 5-V Circuits app note or consider using a voltage translator.
