MSP430F5438A: UART Flow control RTS CTS information and sample code

Hi Experts,

I badly needed your assistance with my current client. He is using MSP430F5438AIZQWT. In order to support UART flow control, he need information about UART Flow control RTS CTS and this is not available in device D/S. He also asked for its sample code.

I referred him the following links for related query and possible sample code.

and the following is his response:

Dear TI, the link you sent doesn't help us resolve the problem. we still can't find any solution or example of code for flow control for MSP430. on the forum we find that the flow control doesn't exist in the MSP430. And they did try to write the code by them self but it wasn't stable. how it can be that IT doesn't support UART flow control?

Hi Archie,

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge there are no UART flow control examples for MSP430. Let me check with our SW team.

Hi Archie,

The SW team is indicating there are no examples for MSP430 using UART flow control. My only other suggestion is for the customer to search the web for a solution.
