"I brought MSP-FET (SN:190100490) from mouser and now found defective as the RED LED is not blinking while good MSP-FET, the RED LED will blink. I can show u video on this matter. pls help to assit"
I tried to upload the video the customer is talking about but the uploading process does not proceed accordingly. I upload a screenshot(part of the video) instead. Kindly see below:
I hope you can help us with this. Thank you and keep safe.
Regards.
Gerald
Hi Gerald,
This is unfortunate to hear. Since the customer purchased through Mouser, they have to contact their support team to get a resolution.
Thanks Gerald.
Hi Dennis, as Mouser requesting us to contact TI first, if TI approved warranty claim then only Mouser will take over this case.
Can you help to confirm is this situation under detective ?
Hi Pei Shi Lim,
Ok, first I'll assume you tried all the usual things, like connect/reconnect USB cable. Next, if you are up to the task, there is a way to 'cold boot' the MSP-FET as described in the MSP Debuggers User's Guide, section 5.6.5.3. Take a look and try this procedure.
Hi Dennis, sorry that we just resume work from public holiday. i click the link you provided, and prompt out with page not found. can you help me again ?
Hi Pei Shi Lim,
Sorry for the delay and not sure why link is not working. The link is to the MSP Debugger User's guide ( link). Try again, but if link does not work for you, do a Google search for the name of the document and it will come up. See section 5.6.5.3. This will provide the steps to perform a 'cold boot' on the HW. If that doesn't work, then I will recommend Mouser replace the unit.
Hi Dennis, as check with engineer, the programmer is work now. thanks for your assist
