MSP430FR2675: How to generate CRC 32 from CCS build?

I have a CCS 10 project for which I need to generate a CRC32 value for the image file that is generated. I see hints across the forum indicating that this is possible, but nothing specific. How can I generate the CRC32 value for a given build? The project is already configured to use the MSP430 Hex Utility to generate a TI-HEX format file.

You need generate CRC value(for firmware) by CCS?

I think we have some CRC example code, but not generate by CCS.

I need to generate a CRC (preferably CRC32) for a given build. We are using CCS 10. The generated CRC will be used with the BSL-Scripter tool. The CRC could be generated as part of the build by CCS, or post-build using another tool. Our CCS project is currently configured to produce .out and .txt (TI-HEX) image files. CRC calculation of a build image seems like a common problem for which there should already be a tool. I shouldn't have to write a new tool for this.

Hi Pcpro,

Got your means, the .txt generate by CCS should include CRC value, this should store in the last 64 bytes, but I'm not sure, I will confirm with the releated team and update to you.

I was able to generate the needed CRC by issuing the CRC_CHECK command from BSL-Scripter.
