MSP430F5438A: Not getting proper current values from INA226.

Hi all,

I am using INA226 device for voltage and current measurements for my application. But the problem is I am getting proper voltage values but not current values.

I have multiple INA226 devices connected with one switch ( TCA9544a ). So you can consider the block diagram like below.

So I have programmed accordingly to reach out every INA226 device.

I have also read the datasheet for programming INA226 device and also set proper calibration values to get expected values. But that is not working.

May be a chances not to get clear understanding for programming. 

So guide me with proper solutions and theories.

    This does not seem to be a problem with msp430F5438. You can successfully communicate with other devices through I2C. It should be that other devices are not configured properly. If  you have any problem with MSP430F5438 using, please tell me.

    Actually, my msp430f5438a is working fine but INA226 device which is connected to msp430f5438a has an issue.

    Sure, I can guide you through the proper calibration and measurement reading process. At the same time, I can also check what you have done.  For this, I will need some data from you (from just one INA226 to use as an example):

    1. To help show you how to do the calculation I will need:
      1. The value of the shunt resistor used
      2. The maximum expected current (i.e. the maximum current you want to be able to measure)
    2. To help analyze your setup and walk you through a measurement reading I will need:
      1. A register dump from a known current value
        1. If the current value cannot be known, that is fine as well, as long as I have all the register values and the shunt value
