MSP430FR6043: MSP GANG error 23 - bricked MSP430 on second programming

Hi!

We encountered a problem in manufacturing where a MSP GANG programming file would successfully program a device on the first go, but when you try to re-program it using either the MSP GANG or a MSP FET + Code composer studio, the MSP430 would just be completely bricked with no code left inside. Impossible to re-program. MSP GANG gives "Error 23, MCU Device initialization failed". 

Now with a newly generated MSP programming file this problem does not occur any more, but we have a lot of unusable PCBs now which would be good if we could program or at least get it working on its original code. 

We have tried to erase IP, BSL and everything using Code Composer Studio with no luck. 

Any ideas?
