MSP430F5438A: Interfacing MSP430 with the Wi-Fi/BLE module (ESP32 and ATWINC3400)

Part Number: MSP430F5438A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529

Hi, in our project we endeavoring to interface either ESP32-WROOM-32 UE(From Espressif) or ATWINC3400-MR210CA(From Microchip) with the MSP430F5438A host MCU. For configuring MSP430, we use the IAR workbench.

So above mentioned Wi-Fi/BLE module, is it possible to interface with the MSP430 MCU? will those modules support with MSP430?

If possible, how can we configure those modules in the IAR workbench? how to port those modules libraries into IAR for API configuration?

Please guide us.

  • Hi kotteswaran,

I couldn't find anything specifically regarding ESP32-WROOM, but here are some threads where users are interfacing with the ESP8266 which can serve as a guide [link].

Regarding the ATWINC3400, I would refer to this thread where there's a discussion on using the MSP430F5529 + ATWINC3400 [link].

I would refer to those threads to see if these solutions are possible for your application.

    Thanks,

    Urica Wang
