MSP430F2370: Equivalent comparator A+

Hi Team,

The application report entitled "NFC and RFID Reader Ultra-Low-Power Card Presence Detection Using MSP430 and TRF79xxA", discusses the Comparator A+ in the MSP430. Our customer is using another microcontroller and would like to know if we have an equivalent "Comparator A+" that they can connect to their MCU.

Hi Danilo,

Other MSP MCUs with the comparator A+ module would be the F2330 and F2350 (shown in the datasheet that these are in the same device family) and the G2xx parts (mentioned in the app report introduction).

The section "Detail Internal Comparator Circuit Configuration" also has a note that you could use other comparator modules available in the MSP430 families, but it would probably require modifications to the firmware provided in the app report.

Hi Urica,

Thank you for your response. Our customer is looking for an equivalent "Comparator A+" device or IC (not MSP430 with Comparator A+) that they can connect to their microcontroller. Is it an ordinary voltage comparator?
